My Summer Holiday

This summer holiday, I travelled to three continents.

First, I travelled to the East through China to Nepal in Southern Asia. It is a place using a type of currency called Rupee. It domination of the notes is same of Hong Kong. Of course, I have visited the famous landmark in Nepal--- Mount Everest which is the highestmountain in the world. (Latitude 27° 59' N.....Longitude 86° 56' E). Its elevation is 8,840 meters. It is freezing on the mountain because its average temperature is only -36° C. Itsclimate is very extreme, it can reach-76° C at most. The submit of the mountain is always covered by snow and ice and there are no living things. The oxygen content is low at the top of mountain, I can hardly breath

Then, I travelled to the South-East again through the Indian Ocean to Madagascar which is the biggest island in Africa. There is no winter in Madagascar, it only have rainy and dry season which I liked very much. Malagasy culture reflects a blend of Southeast Asian, Arab, African and European influences. There is about 50% of people believe in traditional religion—Merina. This religion tends to emphasize links between living and dead. In Madagascar, most of the people speaks their own language--- Malagasy language. This language originates from Malayo-Polynesian languages which I don’t understand at all.

At last, I travelled to the East again through the Atlantic Ocean to Brazil which is situated on the east-central coast of South America. Brazil’s population reaches 193,607,000 which is the largest population country in South America. Brazil is also the 8^th largest economy country nominated by Gross domestic product. Its agriculture, industries and transportation system are very developed, I have found it is very convenient. Brazil is very environmental friendly, 80% of the country used hydroelectric power. Therefore, the air makes me feels fresh. The biggest tropical rainforest—the Amazon rainforest and the second longest river—Amazon River are also in there, what an interesting place.
